The GPS Leadership Achievement Award is periodically awarded to a GPS Team member who has exhibited exceptional overall leadership over time as well as in inspiring change and growing leaders across their clients, team, industry and beyond.

GPS Team Impact Award
The GPS Team Impact Award is awarded annually to a GPS Team member who has made a significant and inspiring impact to the GPS team and business in the last year.
Nominations are gathered from the entire GPS team, the recipient is decided by the Leadership Team and the award is presented by the previous year’s recipient during our Team Meeting.

2024 World Dairy Expo Industry People of the Year
We are proud to share that our three original partners, Jim Barmore, Dr. Marty Faldet and Dr. King Hickman, received World Dairy Expo's prestigious Industry People of the Year award in 2024. Jim, Marty and King founded GPS Dairy Consulting LLC, an independent dairy nutrition and full management consulting business, from ground zero in 2009. GPS is an integrated team of over 15 independent consultants with additional support staff who work closely to provide a broad offering of services, educational events, tools, and expertise to deliver success to dairies in 10 states and internationally and has impacted more than 110 clients and 400,000 animals. Aside from helping our clients’ farms be successful, inspiring change and growing leaders in the dairy industry is the hallmark of success for GPS Dairy Consulting. This is possible with the visions and support of our founders.
A Tribute to Dr. Robert “Bob” Elliott James
(1949-2025)
“Dr. Bob” will be remembered for his unwavering passion for people and his gift for teaching. When he joined GPS Consulting, he was truly appreciative of the opportunity to continue serving the industry he loved. Even when the challenges of COVID-19 made it impossible to build a clientele through traditional avenues, Bob embraced a new model with courage and determination, proving once again that passion and perseverance were at the heart of everything he did. Bob carried himself with class and grace, always lifting those around him. His illness came on suddenly and unexpectedly, and while his body could not overcome the systemic challenges in his final days, his spirit of integrity, kindness, and enthusiasm for life remain with us. We are grateful for the time we shared with Bob and for the legacy he leaves behind in the lives he touched across the dairy community.
